What's one thing you know now that you wish you'd known when you started writing?

It’s a hard slog and writing doesn’t get done if you don’t write.
You have to put in the time and the effort to get it done. Who cares if it’ll be bad, at least it’s done - that’s the first priority.
Get it written, move on, start editing.
You’ll feel tired, burnt out, you’ll get busy, you won’t want to write anymore. Write just one word. One and done, then move on with your day.
The tiniest steps are still steps and you’re still moving forward.
Also - everyone will want to be a writer when they hear you’re doing it.
If you can do it, anyone can. Right?
Try not to take that personally but that’s what they're all thinking. And that’s amazing! You’re inspirational. You’re inspiring them to reach their dreams, goals and push themselves to beyond where they thought they could go.
You’re doing that.
And they’re doing that.
It’s incredible.
One thing I wish I knew: It’s a hard slog and everyone will want to do the same.
Is it good, is it bad, it’s neither.
