What Do You Hope Readers Will Take Away From Your Book?

There are so many things within this book that I hope readers take away.
I’ve added a lot of subtleties in this book and within the characterisation. I had a beta reader pick up on what I was doing with Jordi, and my mum understood completely what I had done with Barbara. Of course, I think everyone understands what is going on with Michelle.
I’m not going to go into the details of what I’ve hidden in this book, as I’m having fun seeing what readers are taking note of. If it’s something you identify with, you’ll see it. If not, don’t worry - the book is still a fun read.
I do hope readers feel less alone as they are reading this book. My characters are not society's best. They’re not celebrities, or millionaires, or dragon hunters. They are everyday people who do their best in a world not made for them.
Because are any of us really made for this world?
We’re all doing our best and trying to thrive in a world that’s constantly changing. Especially in today's economy, when everyone is struggling financially, even the best of us are having a hard time.
I hope people read this book and know that their situation is okay. It’s not about the comparisons you make but about the love surrounding you.
This book is not a romance.
